Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 also have broken 圆4 drivers for these devices. Note that this works for 圆4 versions of Windows 7 and Vista for the HP Deskjet 722 as well as the printers listed below. There was a very long thread that ensued, you can see there for the original thread which had some good discussions. I copied the original post below (with the patch). I posted the following some years ago but it has now been archived by HP.
